Meet Dr. Kwatra

Julie Kwatra, MD, is an expert board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist with an extensive and diverse background in her field. She treats patients at Arizona Women’s Care in Scottsdale, Arizona, alongside four close friends and colleagues. She relies on her decades of prior experience in both clinical and research settings to give her current patients top-notch expertise and care.

Dr. Kwatra attended Tel Aviv University in Tel Aviv, Israel, before moving stateside to complete her bachelor’s degree at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, in 1991. She continued her education at Ohio State University in Columbus, earning her medical degree in 1995. She then moved to Phoenix, Arizona, where she completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Maricopa Medical Center and St. Joseph’s Hospital.

During her undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate education, Dr. Kwatra earned numerous awards and recognitions for excelling among peers and colleagues. These include several letters of commendations, honors, and awards. During her residency, she was chosen by faculty and peers to be administrative chief resident and won an award for her presentation on pregnancy termination.

Today, Dr. Kwatra serves on the OB/GYN executive committee at Scottsdale Healthcare Shea. She is also the Scottsdale representative to the Phoenix OB/GYN society. Her professional memberships include the American Medical Association, the Arizona Medical Association, and the Maricopa County Medical Society. She is also a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. At Arizona Women’s Care, Dr. Kwatra specializes in adolescent gynecology visits, pelvic pain management, family planning, infertility treatments, and birth control counseling, among many other services.

Dr. Kwatra enjoys a range of hobbies and activities in her free time, including art, writing, travel, photography, and mountain biking.
